Yao Guo is an associate professor in the Institute of Software of the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science at Peking University. His general research interests include operating systems, embedded systems, low-power computing and software engineering.

He received his PhD in Computer Engineering from University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2007. His PhD advisor was Professor Csaba Andras Moritz. Previously, he got his BS and MS degrees, both in Computer Science, from Peking University in 1997 and 2000 respectively.

He is a member of ACM and IEEE, and a senior member of CCF.
